User-Generated Content Policy

At Find Me Alive (FMA), our community plays an important role in shaping how we grow and serve the public. While our primary mission is to protect lives and provide peace of mind, we also recognize that users may share their own stories, testimonials, resources, or other forms of content through our platforms. This User-Generated Content Policy explains the rules, responsibilities, and expectations for any content submitted by users.

What Counts as User-Generated Content

User-Generated Content (UGC) includes, but is not limited to:

  • Testimonials and personal stories submitted to FMA.

  • Comments, suggestions, or feedback provided on our website or through official channels.

  • Media such as photos, audio, or video submitted for campaigns, outreach, or awareness efforts.

  • Any material shared through FMA community spaces, outreach projects, or affiliated events.

Rights and Permissions

  • Ownership
    Users remain the owner of any original content they create and submit. However, by submitting content to FMA, users grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, distribute, and adapt the content for purposes aligned with our mission.

  • No Compensation
    Unless otherwise stated in writing, submitting content to FMA does not entitle the user to financial compensation, royalties, or recognition beyond what is agreed upon at the time of submission.

  • Attribution
    Where appropriate, Find Me Alive may credit the user as the source of submitted content, unless the user requests anonymity.

Standards for Acceptable Content

To maintain safety, trust, and professionalism, all submitted content must:

  • Be accurate, honest, and free from intentional misinformation.

  • Respect privacy rights, including avoiding the disclosure of personal information without consent.

  • Avoid offensive, defamatory, discriminatory, or unlawful material.

  • Align with FMA’s mission of safety, ethics, and public trust.

Moderation and Removal

  • Right to Review
    All submitted content is subject to review by Find Me Alive before being published, shared, or used.

  • Right to Remove
    Find Me Alive reserves the right to reject, edit, or remove any content that violates this policy, appears misleading, or could harm the safety and trust of the community.

  • No Obligation
    Submitting content does not guarantee that it will be published, shared, or used by Find Me Alive.

  • Accuracy and Integrity
    Users are responsible for ensuring that any content they submit is accurate and does not infringe upon the rights of others.

  • Legal Compliance
    Users must not submit content that violates copyright, trademark, privacy, or other applicable laws.

  • Assumption of Risk
    Users understand that by submitting content, they are granting Find Me Alive the right to use it for outreach and awareness purposes, and therefore should not submit anything they are not comfortable sharing.
