This policy outlines the official guidelines for putting up posters and sharing missing person information through approved channels, ensuring outreach is effective, respectful, and compliant with applicable laws.

Official Templates
Posters provided through the Find Me Alive app or website should always be used, as they include verified information and consistent formatting. -
Content Requirements
Posters will include:-
The missing person’s name and photo.

Last known location and time.

Verified details provided by family or authorities.

Contact information for tips and support.

Accuracy Updates
Members must replace old posters with updated versions if new information is released. Outdated or conflicting posters must be removed to prevent confusion. -
Respectful Language
Posters and shared messages must avoid speculation, offensive terms, or misleading claims.

Where to Post

Public Community Spaces
Posters may be placed on community bulletin boards, in local businesses (with permission), and in other approved public spaces. -
Digital Sharing
Posters and alerts may be shared online, including social media, community forums, and messaging apps, as long as they are shared exactly as issued by Find Me Alive. -
Restricted Areas
Posters should not be placed on private property without permission, on government property where prohibited, or in ways that damage buildings or public spaces.

Connection to Renewal Requirements

Counting Toward Service Hours
Time spent distributing or sharing official posters may count toward the Active Renewal Service 10-hour annual requirement for members participating in the referral program.
