Internal Directory Policy

The Find Me Alive (FMA) Internal Directory is a secure, internal resource designed to support emergency response and missing person recovery efforts. Because the directory contains sensitive information about users, emergency contacts, and essential public resources, it is strictly controlled and accessible only to authorized members of the Find Me Alive team.

This Internal Directory Policy outlines what the directory is, how it is used, who can access it, and the safeguards in place to ensure its responsible and ethical operation.

Purpose of the Internal Directory

The Internal Directory exists to:

  • Support Recovery Efforts – Provide quick access to critical information when a person goes missing.

  • Centralize Resources – Maintain a reliable directory of law enforcement, fire stations, emergency services, and other essential contacts across regions.

  • Coordinate Response – Enable FMA staff and contractors to work efficiently with local authorities and trusted partners during emergencies.

  • Protect Sensitive Information – Ensure that user data and resource lists are only accessed for legitimate, authorized purposes.

Information Contained in the Directory

The directory may include:

  • Emergency Service Contacts – Local police stations, fire departments, hospitals, and other first responders across different regions.

  • User Information (As Needed) – Relevant data from users’ Missing Person Kits or recordings, accessible only when a missing person case is active.

  • Authorized Contractors/Partners – Contact information for vetted FMA contractors who provide specialized support (e.g., drones, security, outreach).

  • Search & Rescue Resources – Information about organizations and networks that may be mobilized in recovery efforts.
